China is a traditional agricultural country, accounting for about half of the population of the agricultural population. So to solve the agriculture, rural areas and farmers development issues of great significance in China’s economic development. Increase farmers’ income, prosperity and development of agriculture and rural areas related to the realization of China’s modernization and the overall well-off society goals. Due to the huge amount of our rural population, improve agricultural productivity, making agriculture a limited ability to absorb the labor force, the increasingly tense relationship between people and land, and long-term urban-rural split, but also impede the flow of rural labor, resulting in a large number of surplus rural labor force, serious restricting the development of rural economy and increase farmers’ income. Rural surplus labor can be achieved payrolls increase farmers’ income has become a crucial issue, has become the key issues affecting agriculture and overall socio-economic development, which has been the focus of attention in recent years also.In recent years, with the development of society and economy, a large number of rural labor into the non-farm sector. Has a positive meaning to develop township enterprises, but also for the farmers to bring new non-farm employment income sources, non-agricultural employment of rural labor to promote rural economic development, narrowing the income gap between residents.In this paper, grabbed two important economic phenomenon of current life in China’s rural economy, rural surplus labor employment and the development of farmers’income. Since the reform and opening up, improve rural livelihoods force national attention to rural development in our country, coupled with an increase in economic structure adjustment and non-farm employment change makes labor income growth of rural residents in recent years. In order to study the impact on non-farm employment income of the farmers, the paper utilizes the 1993 to 2013 data. From net income of rural residents and non-farm employment perspectives, analyze the intrinsic link between the two. Build economic models, through cointegration analysis and Granger causality test, verify the actual net income of rural residents and real gross agricultural production, short and long term relationship rural non-farm employment, and to increase agricultural production and rural non-farm employment in rural areas can improve income level empirical analysis.After empirical analysis for the study concludes conclusions proposed policy measures to accelerate urbanization to absorb surplus agricultural labor force, strengthen rural infrastructure, and increase the benefits of agricultural policy efforts to improve urban and rural social security system, etc. broaden the rural surplus labor transfer channels to promote the continued growth of farmers’ income.
