A Comparative Study Of Modern Agricultural Regions In Hebei

Hebei province, in recent years, has achieved remarkable results by supporting the development of modern agriculture, agricultural industry and product structure adjustment. However, its unbalanced development has had a direct impact on the process of development of modern agriculture in Hebei province. So, it is of great significance as to how to make the most of the existing resources and what appropriate measures to be taken to solve the problem of uneven development of agricultural region.Based on the theoretical study of modern agriculture and the actual situation in Hebei province, the paper has made an in-depth study of the differences between modern agricultural development in 11 prefecture-level cities in Hebei province to identify their problems, and has put forward relevant suggestions in order to ensure the full completion of a well-off society.The paper begins with the purpose, the ideas, research methods and technology roadmap and, the potential innovations of studying regional differences of modern agriculture based on existing research on modern agricultural development at home and abroad. It moves on to the theoretical basis of modern agricultural development, covering the idea of modern agriculture, its features and the regional advantage oriented idea, modern agriculture-related agricultural location theory, comparative advantage theory and the theory of sustainable development. The third part is contributed to the achievements of modern agricultural development in Hebei Province through horizontal and vertical statistical data analysis in recent years, and identified the modernization and the existing problems of agricultural and rural development in 11 prefecture-level cities. Based on the above analysis and the relevant literature and expert consultation, an evaluation index system was proposed on the agricultural development in Hebei Province, with the weight of each index determined by AHP, and the comprehensive value index used to evaluate the modern agricultural development of the 11 prefecture-level cities. The results indicate that the comprehensive evaluation of modern agriculture index in Hebei province is 64.53, which means the development of modern agriculture have been preliminarily achieved; Shijiazhuang, one of the 11 prefecture-level cities, has the highest modern agriculture evaluation index of 123.23; second to it, Qinhuangdao city’s evaluation index is 113.52, followed in sequence by Chengde, Tangshan, Handan, Cangzhou, Baoding, Xingtai, Zhangjiakou, Hengshui, and the last is Langfang, which has the modern agriculture evaluation index of 80.14. Finally, in view of the problems on the development of modern agriculture in the 11 prefecture-level cities, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward concerning the existing problems with the agricultural development in the 11 cities.
