Research On The Factors Affecting The Development Of Family Farms In Guangxi

With China’s rapid economic growth and urbanization continue to advance, small scale agricultural production mode based on the household contract responsibility system can’t adapt to the requirements of the development of modern agriculture. In order to solve this problem, since 2013, the No.l central document proposed to support family farms and other new agriculture managing body, so as to realize the agriculture scale and intensive management. Guangxi is a major agricultural province, the development of family farms has just started, this paper through analyzing the current situation of Guangxi family farms, in order to find out the factors and key problems existed in the development of family farms in Guangxi, and proposes the suggestions for promoting the development of Guangxi family farms, and it is of great significance for realizing agricultural modernization.This paper consist of five chapters, the first chapter mainly introduced the content of the research background, research purpose and significance, literature review and research methods etc. The second chapter is the part of theoretical research, firstly study the concept of family farms, research on the definition, characteristics, types and the connection and difference between family farm and other agriculture managing body; then study the theoretical foundation of family farms, use the theory of classical economics of scale economy and the new institutional economics transaction cost theory to provide theoretical support for the development of Guangxi family farms; in the end of this chapter, study the development experience of family farm, including America, France, Japan and five typical regions in China. The third chapter mainly studies the current development of Guangxi family farms, including the number, scale, distribution, management mode and main achievement. The fourth chapter is the research on the influencing factors of the development of family farms in Guangxi, do a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the factors affecting the development of Guangxi family farm. The result shows the policy support is the main influence factor of Guangxi family farm development. The fifth chapter is the countermeasure and suggestions on the development of Guangxi family farms.
