Urbanization Study In Ruian City Of Zhejiang

China has experienced rapid economic development since the reform andopening up. With the rapid development in economy and science technology, thesignificance of urbanization in China has increasingly emerged. Currently, theurbanization has become one of the crucial standards to test the comprehensivestrength and modernization level of a district. Up to2012, the urbanization ratio inChina has been over50%. According to historical development experience, China willenter into a period when the urbanization will become more and more rapid in thefuture20years. But at the same time, we will also be confronted with differentchallenges and tests in urbanization development. We must follow the arrangementsof the Party Central Committee, adhere to the road of urbanization of Chinese model,adhere to people-oriented principle and promote city fusion so as to promote aharmonious development for the city, town and village.To have a comprehensive understanding on urbanization and grasp thedevelopment opportunity, guarantee sustain development of society and economy inRuian, the present thesis take Ruian as a research object through analyzing itsurbanization situation and figuring out existing problems as well as the causes of it.Then, it tries to explore measurements and methods of Ruian urbanization based onthe experience of global urbanization. At last, it proposes some specific strategies andapproaches referable for Ruian. This article is helpful to enrich theories ofurbanization in relatively more developed eastern areas and is instructive to improvethe economic strength and civilization level in Ruian. The thesis is divided into sixchapters. Chapter I is introduction about the purpose, significance, methods andpresent status of the research.Chapter II is literature review, mainly introducing theconcept of urbanization and analyzing its new research pattern in China. Chapter IIIintroduceshistory and current situation of urbanization of Rui’an. Chapter IV analyzesexisting problems ofurbanization development of Rui’an in the past and why. Chapter V is case study, firstly analyzing three differentmodes of urbanizationdevelopmentoverseas; thenthrough four domestic cases, analyzing their lessons andinspirations for Rui’anrespectively. Chapter VI tries to put forward somecountermeasures by studying the current situation in Ruian UrbanizationDevelopment which aims to develop economy, adjust industrial structure, activelydevelop tertiary industry, scientifically plan city arrangement, enhance rural educationand innovate land system.
