The Study Of Aging Population Influence On Economic Development Of Hebei Province

The aging population is the population problem that human beings are commonly facedwith and is also an important social problem concerned by all countries. The aging populationis the inevitable result of social development and is widely affecting every aspect of sociallife，especially on social economic aspects. With the deepen of ageing, this influence is moreand more obvious. Hebei is one of the earliest to enter the aging population provinces acrossthe country. But currently there is a lack of systematic and overall study to the problem onwhat kind of impact does the aging population has brought to the economic development inHebei. In this paper, based on analyzing the present situation of aging population andinfluence factors of aging population, the influences on economic growth, the factors ofsupply, consumption, social security, industrial structure and so on to study the influence oneconomic development in Hebei province. Considering all the aspects, we focus on the impacton the economic growth of Hebei. Finally feasible countermeasures are put forward accordingto the specific situation in Hebei to promote healthy and sustainable development of theeconomy in Hebei. The paper is divided into the following four parts:Introduction is the first part. Mainly introduces the research background, purpose andsignificance, the review of the related literature as well as the research contents, methods andpossible innovation points. Then introduces the concept definition and measuring indicatorsof the aging population. The second part, the status and developing trend of Hebei province’saging population.This part is analyzed from three aspects: the changing trend of populationage structure, elderly people’s characteristics, elderly population forecast data for analysis.This part lays the foundation for further analysis. Empirical analyzing is the third part and isthe core part. Through data Stationarity Test, the Cointegration Test and the Impulse responsefunction to analyze specifically the influence of Hebei aging population on economic growth;Through the yearbook data and Leff model to respectively analyze the impact of agingpopulation on the supply of labour and savings to analyze the influence of aging populationon each supply factor of economic growth in Hebei; Through the Granger Causality Test andGrey Correlation model to analyze the impact of aging population on urban and ruralresidents’ consumption level and consumption structure of the Hebei empirically. This partprovides theoretical basis for putting forward the below suggestions Finally the brief analysisof the population aging on social old-age security and industrial structure in Hebei. The fourth part puts forward the countermeasures to cope with the aging population in Hebei. First tospeed up the economic development to solve the aging population brings social pressurefundamentally, secondly to make full use of the old human resources, also to attach greatimportance to the elderly industrial development, to strengthen the elderly social security andconsciousness propaganda in the whole society, to perfect the elderly legal construction.
