Research On Project Planning And Progress Control Management Of Huawei IT Operation Outsourcing Project

The traditional IT outsourcing service management has many problems on planning, organizing and controlling. It’s meaningful to study the project management method which applying to Sunny’s IT outsourcing service projects by differentiating the project management methods between IT outsourcing service and IT integration&application development.The paper studies the relative project management theories and methods by the practice of HuaWei IT outsourcing services. The paper includes two parts according to the project nature, the one is transition management and another is ongoing delivery management. In the paper, it emphasizes the transition management in which the project planning and progress control are more critical. In the phase of transition management, the paper focuses on project planning and progress control management, applying project planning to order activities in the transition period, to estimate deadlines of activities, to work out project transition plan and to implement effective planning control in HuaWei project. In above, the paper analyzed the possibility of applying the former five kinds of project management knowledge to IT outsourcing service and summarized briefly the management frame and technique for SUNNY’s IT outsourcing service project, which were validated through HuaWei project.The research takes the view that it’s of significance for guiding the whole progress management in HuaWei IT operation outsourcing project by applying the theories and methods of project plan and control in the project. It’s also meaningful for the summary of delivery methodology and the improvement of delivery ability as well as the final formation of the project methodology which conforms to both the industry characteristics and Sunny’s actual situation.
