How to fully utilize the power of people, this is always the issue which management staff and researcher concerned with. In the past time the traditional idea is to strictly control associate by management process and regulations, how to solve associates’complain to improve their working satisfaction is the area which academic researcher focused on. Now we are in the21th century when the knowledge based economy arise, the associates’ working content and working way changed a lot, And the management concept has been transferred from behavior control to stimulate the associate’s self control thus provides the theory basis for engagement research accordingly.The subject of study is the engagement of XX Shanghai Company’s production staff.Upon the current status analysis of XX Shanghai Company’s production management system and engagement, We put forward the tactics and suggestions to improve the Company production staff engagement in terms of improvement solutions, measures, ways and the practical application of engagement theory. We think we should execute the solution package to improve the associate engagement in terms of strategic communication, democratic decision making, product quality, leadership skill cultivation of front line managers, development opportunities of front line associates, Company benefit to build up the atmosphere of opportunity retaining people, emotion retaining people, compensation retaining people to promote production staff’s total development of XX Shanghai Company.Along with production over supply, currently the chemical industry has entered into connotative increase stage that focusing on internal management. All the companies’ production department face the challenges of engagement improvement and turnover rate reduction to improve working efficiency and safety incident reduction thus achieve sustainable development. XX Shanghai Company as the research subject of typical small to medium chemical company may be regarded as the reference example for other similar companies in terms of improvement practice of staff engagement.
