Tourism is one of the backbone emerging industries in national economy-system, and it has become an important part of national strategy. The promoting effect of tourism industry on the social economy is becoming significant increasingly, therefore, as one of the three pillar industries of tourism, hospitality industry’s healthy development has become the key elements of developing tourism.Hospitality industry is a kind of labor-intensive service industry, so it is important safeguard to ensure the adequate reserves of human resources in hotels. However, the high staff turnover rate in the hospitality industry in China, leading to the rising management cost of hotel and the decrease in the level of service. The "labor shortage" problem of the hospitality industry has become a bottleneck restricting the development of tourism. Therefore, the study on the influencing factors of employee turnover in hospitality industry, constructing a model of employee turnover, and seeking ways to reduce the hotel staff turnover, will help to improve the comprehensive competitiveness of the hotel, thus boost the healthy and rapid development of tourism industry.Selecting hotel staff as the research object, this article deeply investigated the characteristics of the employees in the industry. Combining with the research results of other experts and scholars, using the multiple-iterations of DEMATEL method, the paper identifies the main factors influencing the hotel employee turnover, analyzes the logical relationship among various factors, constructs the model of employee turnover in hospitality industry, identifies critical path reducing employee turnover, and provides a scientific basis to effectively solve the problem of staff turnover, improve the level of human resource management in the hotel industry in our country.First of all, based on the theory summarizing and literature reviewing, combined with the interviews and grade of the invited experts and scholars, identifies the influencing factors of employee turnover in hospitality industry through interviewing and scoring by specialists.Secondly, using the improved DEMATEL method to analyze the relationship among various influencing factors, clarify the mechanism of action of the factors of employee turnover in hospitality industry. Research shows that external employment opportunities and employment related laws and regulations are the root-cause factors of employee turnover in hospitality industry; meanwhile, hotel enterprise culture and organizational commitment are the root-result factors.Finally, according to the analysis of the influencing factors of employee turnover in hospitality industry, the paper proposes the model of employee turnover in hospitality industry, reveals how each factor affects the hotel staff turnover, and provides the management of the hotels with scientific support.
