Enterprises as the main body in the market economic activities, in the maintenance and criterion of practice of social ethics, promoting the process of moral construction of citizen society, plays a special and important mission. Ethical leaders may not only influence the construction of ethical climate and normalization of business activities in the organization, but also have direct and indirect effects on the employee work performance. This study, based on social exchange theory and job embeddedness theory, via leader member exchange and organizational embeddedness, proposes and intermediary the direct positive model and the dual mediation model of ethical leadership on employees’ work performance. Through a longitudinal study surveying271employees from different enterprises and using SPSS and Amos statistical software for data analysis, this research provides the supporting evidence for all of its hypotheses:(1) ethical leadership predicts employees’ work performance positively;(2) ethical leadership predicts leader-member exchange positively, leader-member exchange predicts employees’ work performance positively, and leader-member exchange mediate the relation between ethical leadership and employees’ work performance;(3) ethical leadership predicts organizational embeddedness positively, organizational embeddedness predicts employees’ work performance positively, and organizational embeddedness mediate the relation between ethical leadership and employees’ work performance. Finally, theoretical values practical implications, and limitations of my study are discussed.
