The method of purvey the right thing on the right time is a good question for discussion.Standard target system can provide specific targets for companies, detect the existing problems, and pursue the way of continuous innovation. It’s an available tool to discover new targets and achieve them, indicates the essence character of pursuing competitive superiority in knowledge management preferably.This kind of surveyor’s pole is very common at abroad, more and more well-known enterprises regard it as a general activity and gain great effect. Carry standard target system is that transfer the thought and method of benchmarking into company’s general activities, contrast with the domestic and foreign congener outstanding enterprises, identify the problems and weaknesses in the management, then improve them constantly and upgrade the level of operational management and improve efficiency.However, standard target system has just started in China, the theory and practice is less, especially in the choice of surveyor’s pole, there isn’t an objective evaluation method. To solve this problem, this paper presents the agent’s evaluation methods based on the individual advantage identification. The method is simple, practical, effective and more objectively and accurately to choose surveyor’s pole.This structure organized according the ideas of theory, methods, application. After exploring the theory of standard target system and reviewing the current complexion of Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, this paper summarizes the existent problems, particularly the choices of surveyor’s pole. To solve these problems, it is suggested that the choice should be based on the method of individual advantage identification, and gave detailed procedures of implementation; this paper applies the proposed method to the standard target system of industry of military, indicated it’s scientific and objective.
