The world economic recovery is weak after the financial crisis, struggling, increasingly want to promote economic growth through trade liberalization. In particular, it is one of the products under this background the21st century, bilateral or multilateral free trade agreements springing up,"Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement"(TPP). Since2009the United States to join TPP, TPP has expanded rapidly, especially in Japan, adding it is a great expansion of the TPP’s economic strength and influence. Currently TPP member states has reached12, the total economic output accounted for40percent of the global economy, trade volume accounted for a third of global trade. Unlike the previous free trade agreements, TPP is a high level of free-trade agreements, including the Agreement on Trade in Goods Not only that, but also covers many areas of trade in services, labor, investment, environment and so on. Therefore, TPP developments have a significant impact on the world economy and politics, economic cooperation will change the way the Asia-Pacific region and worldwide. In addition, China as the world’s second largest economy, an important country in the Asia-Pacific region, is currently not being invited to join the TPP, which will lead to China inevitably affected the TPP.Japan has been an important trading partners of China, Sino-Japanese trade relations have made great progress. However, the current Sino-Japanese trade is affected by many negative factors, FTA negotiations among China, Japan, S. Korea stalled, while Japan has chosen to join the US-led TPP, its purpose and intent worth studying. In this paper, based on Japan’s trade structure, trade diversion from the perspective of the analysis added to China’s exports to TPP impact. The research method of this paper uses the combination of quantitative and qualitative, the first part of this thesis briefly introduces the research background and significance of the research results, ideas and content research, innovation and research methods and shortcomings of this article; second part reviews the development of TPP process, analyzes its content and features, and studied in Japan to join the TPP background from political and economic aspects; the third part uses a large number of Sino-Japanese trade data, analysis of the current situation of Sino Japanese trade, and the change from commodity structure, tradestatus and trade on the three aspects of Sino-Japanese trade relations; fourth part introduces the mechanism of Japan to join TPP impact on Chinese exports to Japan, and by the panel data gravity model and export similarity index analysis tool the impact on China’s exports generated; fifth part is a summary of the foregoing, combined with the reality faced by China put forward specific proposals. The results showed that Japan join the TPP has both its political and economic considerations, will have an adverse impact on the development prospects of Sino-Japanese trade. Especially in Japan to join the TPP will reduce Japan’s dependence on imported Chinese goods in favor of strengthening the imports from TPP member countries, so that China-related industries adversely affected.Current researches mainly focus on the TPP in a large country motives, institutional characteristics, etc., and study the relationship between specific trade among member countries, member states and non-member countries rarely change. Therefore, the innovation of this paper lies in the use of the gravity model and export similarity index detailed analysis of Japan to join the TPP to China’s exports to the impact. The downside is that this research is based on the TPP negotiations were successful, and because the TPP is still constantly evolving, there will be more countries to join, so the results of this study may differ reality differ. In addition, the limited ability of the author’s research, the analysis of the problem is still not deep enough, thorough, there is room for improvement.
