The human resource is not only the sole resource with the initiative of all available resources in any company, but also the most explosive. We must utilize human resource scientific and effective, only in this way, the enterprise staffs working enthusiasm and motivation can be fully mobilized and the company’s business strategy will be promoted to effective realized. Office management staffs play an important role for promoting the performance of enterprise in the production and operation section. Office management staffs can guide the employee’s work behavior and play a role to transfer information from managers to staffs which forms a connecting link between managers and staffs, so office management staffs can improve the enterprise’s performance effectively. Performance appraisal is the core of modern enterprise management of human resources management in the company, a systematic, scientific and effective performance appraisal system for office management staff can not only fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the staff’s work, but also provide some evidence for incenting staff, payroll and promotion and training opportunities. The most important thing is that it can promote to improve the overall performance level of all the company’s employees and improve the growth and development, help the enterprise enhance the business performance to complete the goal established before the beginning of the company and ultimately maximize its wealth. So we must resolve the problems of performance appraisal of office management staff quickly and effectively, regulate and reshape the staff’s thinking and behavior. Now we must solve the problem that we should make the staff’s goal consistent with the enterprise’s goal.This paper makes SMSY (Shaanxi Coal Chemical Industry) Group as a case to study; we analyzed the performance appraisal of office management staff, it consists of performance appraisal status quo and the problems exist in the performance appraisal system, at last, we gave some suggestion for improving the performance appraisal system which aims to help SMSY group build a new performance appraisal system.
