The Empirical Study Of The Relationship Between Safety Awareness And Safety Behavior Of Managers

Safety awareness and safety behavior have been research hotspots in a large number of fields. Unsafe behavior of people is the main cause of accidents and safety awareness becomes the main parameter index among numerous factors influencing the safety behavior. In the domestic, study of combining them is rare and the main research object is enterprise employee. The role of managers has been more and more strong in the enterprise security management. Therefore, it is significant to explore the relationship between safety awareness and safety behavior for ensuring the operation of enterprise safety production.Firstly, according to the analysis of concepts, theories and present status at home and abroad of safety awareness and safety behavior, it is said that there is a certain contact between safety awareness and safety behavior. At the same time, in the concluding o f previous research result, we divided the safety awareness into three dimensions, chemical safety knowledge、feeling of safety reason and ability to prejudge harm. The constitute dimensions of safety behavior are divided into safety management commitment、safety communication and feedback and safety training. The paper built a theoretical model, then proposed research assumptions.Secondly, on the basis of theoretical research, through variable definitions, scale design, we selected chemical enterprise managers in Zibo as research subject and conducted a survey of210managers. The paper used the statistic tool "SPSS20.0" to analyze the all effective questionnaire feedback.At last, Got the conclusion as follows:The role of different dimensions of safety awareness on different dimensions of safety behavior is different; Chemical safety knowledge and safety rational feeling have significant positive correlation with safety management commitment; Safety rational feeling has significant positive correlation with safety communication and feedback; There are positive correlation between all three dimensions of safety awareness and safety training.According to the result of the study, enterprise can base on their actual situation to find out the internal relation between managers’ safety awareness and safety behavior. At the same time, the result can provide theoretical reference for chemical enterprises.
