Food is the paramount necessity of the people, so keeping food safe is the basis of national existence and prosperity. The per capita cultivated land area in China is 40% of the world, in so limited cultivated land, it is necessary to improve the food production in per unit area to make the whole Chinese people abundant with food. Then, chemical fertilizer brings people the tremendous profits, and it makes the huge contribution to human’s existence. But, being addicted to commercial interests, all kinds of fake or low-quality fertilizers emerge in endlessly in recent years, which has influenced the crops badly, even has fluctuated the national economical development, people’s health, agricultural production safety and social stability. Combining the production selling process of the fertilizer, the thesis makes the research on fertilizer quality and safety traceability system.Through the key technology of the Internet of Things---Electronic Product Code, Radio Frequency Identification technology, the thesis designs and realizes the quality safety traceability system of fertilizer, which collects and record all the data in the process of production, storage, transportation and sale, and it realizes the bidirectional traceability, thus the governmental supervision department can monitor the quality safety in the whole process from production to sale, and consumers can look up the fertilizer information through the RFID label quickly with which farmers can use the trustworthy fertilizer.
