Research On Key Factors Affecting The Carbon Emissions In China’s Power Generation Side And Its Countermeasures

The global climate change is causing unprecedented worldwide attention and concern. As the main symbol of the climate change, global warming will not only bring a series of environmental problems, but also bring great harm to human. The core of reacting climate change is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, especially the CO2 of energy consumption.In recent years, China has achieved rapid development of social economy. But still the energy consumption and the environment pollution can not be neglected. As a developing country, China has become the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases, facing growing international pressures to reduce emissions.In China, power plants has become the largest emission source of the carbon dioxide. By introducing the carbon emissions and the structure of the generation side in our country, this dissertation analyzed the relationship between the structure and the CO2 emission. By the use of the index decomposition theory and the LMDI model, this dissertation systematically analyzed influencing factors of the growth of China’s carbon dioxide emissions, and conducted these factors into classification. This dissertation analyzed influencing factors of the generation side applying the quantitative method, and analyzed the cause of these influence factors applying the qualitative analysis. The promotion of carbon trading market construction and the development of renewable energy have become important strategic initiatives for energy saving and emission reduction in China’s power generation side. We provide a survey of the policial practice of typical countries such as Europe and American countries, and summarize the successful experiences of Europe and the United States and other countries. On the basis of summarizing and learning foreign experience, specific comments will be given to implement the two measures for our government. In order to promote the development of conserving energy and reducing emissions.
