Horizontal Type Strategic Alliance Partner Selection Research

Along with market competition intensifying, the limited enterprise resources, enterprise to common strategic objectives or between different strategic target by the competition gradually evolved into cooperation relations. Between enterprises to establish strategic alliance has become a trend, but the failure of the strategic alliance is not in the minority, through to the enterprise strategic alliance can be found in the study of both at home and abroad, the main cause of the failure of the strategic alliance as a result of partner selection is not reasonable. Strategic alliance partner selection is the first step on the alliance, which is the most important step, about alliance partner selection can can build coalitions and stable operation.In this paper, first of all, on the basis of the reading of vast amount of literature, through the research of predecessors on strategic alliance partner selection, found that previous studies mainly is the generalization of general strategic alliance partner selection index system and model was constructed to build, and the lack of strategic alliance classification after the specific type of partner selection study, this article after the classification of strategic alliance is horizontal type of strategic alliance partner selection is studied. By classification of different direction, the classification of the strategic alliance can be divided into horizontal strategic alliance and vertical strategic alliance, the direction of the two kinds of strategic alliance partner selection research method is the same, but this article focuses on the potential of horizontal type of strategic alliance partner selection index system construction problems existing in the research, analyzing the development of the horizontal type strategic alliance partner selection and the existing shortcomings of alliance partner selection, as well as the reasons for the failure of strategic alliances, calculated the enterprise at the beginning of the type horizontal strategic alliance was established for partner selection of not value and setting the stage for alliance failure, at the same time also illustrate the importance of to transverse type strategic alliance partner selection. Then on the basis of predecessors’ research, through the life cycle theory, game theory and the analysis of the financial theory and management theory, the basis of preliminary forming type horizontal strategic alliance partner selection index system, according to the horizontal type classification of strategic alliance partner selection, and respectively build type horizontal r&d strategic alliance partner selection, horizontal type production strategic alliance partner selection and the horizontal type marketing strategic alliance partner selection index system, the three types of index system on the basis of construct type horizontal strategic alliance partner selection index system. At the same time using the analytic hierarchy process(ahp) construct the horizontal type of strategic alliance partner selection model. Finally, combining with the discussion above, draw a horizontal type strategic alliance partner selection index system and the empirical model, and carry on the empirical validation, and summarizes the shortcomings of this article.
