With the function of serving for the social economy, transportation industry’s energy consumption and emission of greenhouse gases is very huge. There is an interaction, mutual restraint and complex relationship between the transportation system, energy, economy and environment which together constitute a giant system. The giant system consists of four subsystems:including transport subsystem formed by various modes of transport, energy subsystem formed by all kinds of energy saving technologies, environment subsystem that includes a plurality of emission index and emission reduction path, and the economic subsystem on behalf of economic growth and urbanization. There are many paths to achieve energy conservation, such as the use of new energy vehicles, the use of energy-efficient vehicle technology, energy saving operation mode, using intelligent traffic management technology; However, the effects of energy savings and emission reductions due to different technological path, volume of investment and source of investment. Some short-term emission reduction path can be effective, but lack of sustainability, while others are just the opposite; if the effects of adopting energy saving technology is coincide with economic interests, then the low-carbon energy measure will become consumers of conscious action; otherwise, we need the guidance and encouragement of government’s policy.Aim at the current status that transportation industry is facing a increasing pressure on energy conservation and emission reduction,in order to study the effects of different kind of measures,this paper set up a complex low-carbon transport system of freight transport,economy,energy and environment based on the system dynamics model.Using Vensim,the paper constructs the causality graph,positive and negative feedback loops and flow graph.This paper puts the freight transport as the research subject,and gives a description of relevant parameter,finally conduces various simulation.To seek the appropriate energy reduction path and provide a reference for government,the paper mainly simulate the utility of technical means,structural means and carbon tax policy under different intensity,namely to study the change of freight carbon emissions and energy consumption per unit of production produced by freight by adjust related parameters.
