Company A, which was founded in 2007, focus on the frontier technology in the field of acoustic since its inception, and put the research and development into manufacturing of new products. The main products have Bluetooth wireless communication equipments, which can be used for short distance communication.3D Glasses, peripheral accessories products to mobile devices and intelligent wearable equipment. These products have widespread applications in the field of consumer electronics, industrial and automotive electronics field. Company A built well cooperation with many famous international electronics group. In this context. A project manager concern the operation effectiveness and the success of the project as the soul and key of the whole project management system.This study reference to theory of competence characteristics. Combined with the characteristics of project manager in traditional manufacturing, try to built competency model of project manager in company A. It research the project manager in the traditional manufacturing company, then made a comparative analysis for the literature research about the existing of professional manager and project manager competency features, with preliminary propose characteristic dimension index suitable for the project manager in company A. We collected data associated with these competencies dimensions through the questionnaire survey and made expert interview and investigation with the Delphi method and hierarchy analysis method. Finally we concluded that A competency model of project manager in company A through the calculation of statistical software combined with expert’s opinion.Practical significance of this study is that it can examine and assess the project manage emphasis by use the competencies model established in this paper. When select project manager, it also can examine the individual competence characteristics of dimension, according to this research proposed model, to decide whether it can be assessed. Based on the competency model, it also can guarantee of effective training can be provided to employees with all the knowledge and skills required to complete their work associated with systematic thinking, so as to achieve the desired effect.
