Research On Performance Excellence Evaluation Model Of Jiangsu Postal Express And Logistics Corporation

Jiangsu Postal Express and Logistics Corporation is the largest integrated express and logistics service provider in Jiangsu Province with the widest coverage and the best service. Adhering to scientific management and innovation-driven methods and the philosophy of developing ahead of time, it keeps the leading position in our national postal industry. As an outstanding regional enterprise in express and logistics, its top management is not satisfied with the performance the company has achieved, they noticed the scientific and advanced Performance Excellence Evaluation Model(PEEM) and made the significant decision of introducing PEEM to its existing management. This thesis is aiming to conduct a research on the constructing and applying of Performance Excellent Evaluation Model in Jiangsu Postal Express and Logistics Corporation.This thesis can be divided into six parts. The first part introduces the research background and its significance and proposes the issue to be discussed in the thesis. It illustrates the research ideas and approaches. The second part explains briefly the basic theory of PEEM and focuses on the logical relationships between its framework and provisions. The third part describes the current management situation of Jiangsu Postal Express and Logistics. It analyzes the corporation’s strengths and challenges and states the reasons and significance of introducing and implementing PEEM in the corporation. The fourth part discusses the construction of the management system in accordance with the PEEM framework in Jiangsu Postal Express and Logistics, and explains in detail the application of PEEM in the corporation, such as its content and structure. The fifth part uses project management approach to do empirical analysis on the key process and the problems occurred while introducing PEEM. The sixth part is the conclusion.This thesis focuses on GB / T19580-2012 Criteria for Performance Excellence Evaluation which is the latest achievement in the development of PEEM practice in China. It presents lots of ideas and methods of project management during the process of constructing and implementing PEEM in Jiangsu Postal Express and Logistics Corporation. This thesis could help summarize the experiences of implementing PEEM in the corporation; therefore, other service industry especially logistics can take for reference.
