During their daily business operation, first-line managers often face a critical challenge, that is, how to efficiently control waiting time and improve sales performance. This challenge typically lies in the following consequences: low success rate of service recommendation, long waiting time, poor sales performance as well as low customer satisfaction. Therefore, department managers have to spend twice as much time to balance and coordinate marketing strategies and service providing, which significantly reduce the efficiency of management. In the meanwhile, it increases the burden of managers.In order to solve this problem, we propose a new strategy termed “let waiting time become joyful”. The basic idea is combining marketing and service through a "fusion- switching" system to facilitate the realization of fine management. As a result, it will improve service quality and customer satisfaction and hence boost business development. Specifically, the main idea is divided into two parts: first, controlling waiting time and reducing customer’swaiting feeling psychologically; second, caring for the customer through utilizing various marketing means during their waiting, which delivers the signal that customers are well paid attention.This thesis is organized as follows. First, the background of establishing a “fusion-switching” system combining marketing and services is introduced based on the evolution of business operation. Then, the idea of “fusion-switching” system combining marketing and services and its novelty are described in detail, with an emphasis on the establishment process of this system. At the same time, the requirements to run this system successfully and efficiently are addressed. Last, the achieved sales effectiveness and high quality of service are demonstrated, which verify that the proposed “fusion-switching” system combining marketing and services is applicable in practical systems,...
