| Regional economic disparity is an important topic in the research of economy. Appropriate regional economy disparity is good for the optimal rapidly, but when economic difference beyond a certain limits, it will have a negative effect, hindering the development of regional economy. When China has opened up more doors to the outside world, especially with the ongoing proceeding of Western Development, Gansu province economy have improved. In the process of development, the internal differences begin to emerge. Gansu province had presented the ambitious goal that Gansu province synchronizes with the whole nation into the well-off society in 2020. Anglicizing the evolution law of the regional economic disparity and the reasons in Gansu province is useful to build a well-off society and provide the reference to other backward areas.Based on summarizing of research literatures home and abroad, take 14 cities of Gansu province as the objects. Analysis the current situation of economy and the construction of well-off society in Gansu province. Using single index to analyzed the time characteristics of regional economic differences. Using spatial autocorrelation analysis and factor analysis to analyzed the spatial characteristics of regional economic differences. The major founding include : â‘ Gansu province regional economic absolute difference showed a trend of widening. Relative economic differences showed a process that enlarged at first and then narrowed. The trend of the two levels of differentiation is more and more obvious.â‘¡Regional economic disparity takes appearance of higher in the northwest and lower in the southeast. Well-developed region dominated by heavy industry. Well-developed regions and under-developed regions appeared patchy distribution.â‘¢Distribution of regional economy in Gansu province is spatial correlation. The countermeasures of regional harmonious development list as follows. Firstly, optimize the industrial structure to promote regional economic development. Secondly, building economic exchange mechanism, strengthen regional economic interaction. Strengthen the economic developed areas of radiation and diffusion ability.
