Work withdrawal behavior is a kind of behavioral or attitudinal response of the organization members, which aims at increase their distance from organization. It was estimated that the cost of work withdrawal behavior and other counterproductive work behaviors for US corporations was as high as 200 billion dollars/per year, of which, employees’ lateness accounted for 3 billion/per year. Given the massive effect of work withdrawal behavior, it is very important to explore the mechanism of work withdrawal behavior, including what factors will influence the occurrence of this kind of behavior and how. This research discussed the effect of manager abusive supervision on work withdrawal behavior, meanwhile discussed the mediating role of employee emotional labor and the moderating role of employees’ state of affect in a moderated mediation model. Results showed that:(1)Regression analysis demonstrated that manager abusive supervision had a positive effect on employees’ work withdrawal behavior;(2)The testing of moderated mediation model revealed that surface acting partially mediated the relationship between manager abusive supervision and employee work withdrawal behavior;(3)The testing of moderated mediation model revealed that deep acting partially mediated the relationship between manager abusive supervision and employee work withdrawal behavior;(4)The testing of moderated mediation model revealed that negative affect moderated the mediating effect of surface acting on employee work withdrawal behavior;(5)The testing of moderated mediation model revealed that positive affect moderated the mediating effect of deep acting on employee work withdrawal behavior;(6)The independent samples t test and single-factor analysis of variance revealed that demographic variables in employee withdrawal behavior are significantlydifferent, such as educational background, nature of work, rank and the nature of business.
