A Research On The Relationship Between The Green Supply Chain Management Practice And Business Performance In Manufacturing Enterprises

As the engine of economic development, Manufacturing industry has created rich material wealth, but consumed a large amount of natural resources, causing environmental pollution, resources shortage etc.. In face of these pressures, manufacturing enterprises have to reflect on their own behaviors. Green supply chain management has become an important mode of enterprise management. Because the green supply chain management requires a high input of resources, and in short-term these inputs in improving corporate performance is not obvious, causing the enterprise lacking of enthusiasm on the practice of green supply chain management. This paper examines the relationship between the green supply chain management practice and the changes of enterprise performance, pushing forward the green supply chain management research further.In this paper, we put forward the research problems and identify research ideas. Firstly, we defined the main contents of green supply chain management practice includes internal environmental management(EMS), outside the green supply chain management(suppliers environmental monitoring, and customers and suppliers cooperation); Secondly, we determined the enterprise performance as the environmental performance and operational performance, and put forward the hypothesis of the relationship between them. For the 245 valid questionnaires collected by the global manufacturing research group(GMRG), we used SPSS17.0 and the LISREL statistical software to manipulate the data. Finally, using structural equation model, we carried on the fitting to the data.The results of the study show that, the green supply chain management practices have an impact on the environmental performance; The green supply chain management practice improving the environment can promote the enterprise operation performance.
