The Study On Quality Of Urban Popular Science Public Service In Quanzhou

By means of SERVQUAL QOS model, this essay analyzes factors that affect the quality of urban popular science public services from physical capital, human capital and social capital through the field research of the urban science venues in Quanzhou, Fujian Province and describing the current situation of construction and quality of popular science public service. It also points out the existing problems in the construction of urban science public services and discusses how to further improve the quality of urban science public services.The study found that physical capital, human capital and social capital have effects on the quality of science public service in different degree. Although achievements have been made in urban science public service, it is still intertwined with some obvious problems.,In terms of quality of science public service, the problems are as follows:(1) deficiency in popular science equipment and service facilities;(2) low professionalism and skills of staffs;(3) monotonousness in popular science public services and insufficiency in function exerting. The short of the capital investment in popular science public services is one of the main reasons, the problems are as follows:(1) inadequate and inequality investment in physical capital;(2) huge differences in human capital investment;(3) inadequate and uneven investment in social capital. WhileIntegrating factor model analysis and relevant literature, this essay would like to discuss how to further develop and improve the quality of popular science public services and put forward specific plans:(1) encouraging non-governmental subjects to participate the construction of science public service so as to build a diversified pattern of capital investment;(2) expanding the scope of benefit of science public services to improve the quality of popular science public services;(3) expanding the scope of science communication and cooperation to share the science findings.
