Research On The Development And Countermeasures Of Short-distance Passenger Public Transportation In Guangzhou

In recent years, China has been in rapid development period of urbanization. With the accelerating urbanization process, the rapid expansion of the city, the communication of resident, material and information between cities or within city, the traditional "point to point" passenger transportation mode can not met the current needs of short distance passenger transportation, whether in the setting of station, frequency or the service quality, which leads to the rapid increasing requirement of short-distance passenger transportation. In order to accommodate the needs of economy and social activities of urban residents, short-distance passenger transportation and city suburban bus expanse and grow, including the increase of amount and quality. However, problems gradually exposed, including unreasonable route structure setting and vicious competition between entities. It has affected the integration of urban and rural passenger transportation, and the development of big transportation, leading to the government and traffic department paying attention to research on how to reasonably develop short-distance passenger public transportation, which is urgent and necessary.Firstly, the author summarize the theoretical research on the integration of urban and rural passenger transportation and the short-distance passenger public transportation of domestic and foreign scholars, and put forward the research approach of this paper, based on the research background and significance. Secondly, taking the present situation of short-distance passenger public transportation development in Guangzhou as an example, the author discuss the necessity and reasonable localization of the short-distance passenger public transportation transformation, analysis the advantages and disadvantages of two development modes of short-distance passenger public transportation, and define short-distance passenger public transportation. Finally, combined with the problems of transforming short-distance passenger public transportation in Guangzhou, the author put forward the development countermeasures and concrete suggestion on the level of development programming, industry policy, subsidy mechanism, management, government supervision and industry self-discipline, contributing to how to reasonable and orderly development of short-distance passenger public transportation.The research in this paper makes important theoretical and practical significance on improving highway passenger transportation system and meeting residents travel demand between adjacent city, urban and suburban. This research can provide an important theoretical basis for short-distance passenger public transportation transformation.
