| Along with the significant advances in science and technology, it’s becoming the common sense for the nations to establish High-tech Industrial Development Zones to enjoy the fruits brought by the scientific progress. China began to build its own High-tech Industrial Development Zones in 1988. After decades of development, the relatively maturing zones have been playing a key role on promoting the country’s economic growth. However, nowadays, they are challenged by the inevitable problems lying in management system, which, if not handled well, would hinder the further development in both economic and scientific fields. Therefore, how to improve the management system is an urgent issue that needs to be dealt with. This dissertation studies the management system problems facing Yangjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zones, and furthermore, it puts forth the relevant solutions that are of great significance to Yangjiang’s future economic prosperity.Based on the Scientific Management Theory and Government Functions Theory, this dissertation adopts the methods of data studies, comparative analysis and case studies, to gain an insight into the practical situation of the management system in Yangjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zones. It presents the major problems lying in the current system, and points out that the system fails to keep pace with current management environment. Accordingly, the author concludes that only through improving zones’ management system, transforming the government functions, optimizing administrative structure as well as perfecting the service system, building a talent team and absorbing the latest information, can Yangjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zones witness a mature and sustainable development. |
