The Research On Shanghai Exhibition Talent Development

Exhibition industry is an important form of modern service industry. It has become a sunrise industry deeply concerned by various countries for its powerful promotion effect to the economy of a country or a region. The development of exhibition industry has driven the demands of exhibition professionals. However, lacking of a mature and systematic exhibition professional training system restrict the development of exhibition industry in China. As a significant exhibition industry base in China,Shanghai now faces one of the most important questions, that is, how to establish a complete exhibition professional training system and nurture high-quality work force in exhibition field for the healthy and fast development of shanghai exhibition industry.This paper make a systematic analysis of the development of shanghai exhibition professionals by means of literature analysis and case studies. There are six chapters in this paper. The first chapter introduces research background, research purpose and meaning, domestic and abroad research status, study trains of thought and method as well as the main content and possible innovation place. The second chapter is a basic overview of exhibition professionals, introducing the definition of domestic and foreign exhibition professionals, and its development as well as theoretical basis. The third chapter introduces the present situation of the Shanghai exhibition industry and the development of exhibition professionals. The fourth chapter is on the basis of narration in front, analyzing the main problem which existed in Shanghai exhibition professional talents development, explaining the causes of the problem. The fifth chapter takes the development of the project manager in VNU exhibition company as an instance, introducing the practice of the development of exhibition professionals in order to have a microcosmic view of exhibition development. The six chapter proposes policy suggestions to the development of shanghai exhibition professionals, namely establishing professional exhibition talents nurture system, enhancing the guidance between government and exhibition industry association, promoting the practice training effect of exhibition enterprises and training agency, enhancing the communication and cooperation with domestic and international exhibition talents and improving complementary mechanism of exhibition talents reserve. Chapter seven makes a summary and prospect.
