Study Of New Product Quality Management In W Company Based On Zero Defect Model

Along with the rapid development of the scientific technology and fierce market competition become more and more aggressive, the business environment that the enterprise involved has had the fundamental change. Only the enterprises that pay more attention to the product innovation to meet the requirements from rapid changing market can obtain the corresponding competitive advantage, and be able to survival and development. At the same time,many enterprises face the problem of product research & development(R&D), such as the product developing plan behindhand the market, too long product developing period, low reliability of the new product, high innovation cost, and etc. These result in that the cooperation cannot develop the competitive new product promptly according to current market development tend and rapid changing demand from customers, and all of these eventually lead to the customer’s complaint and lost market share. How to enhance the quality management performance of new product research & design through advanced quality management theory and methodology in the world is one of the most important questions of many enterprises.This thesis takes Zero Defect theory and Advanced Product Quality Planning(APQP) method into use to analyze the root causes of problems happened in quality management area of new project/product development in instrumentation industry. Taking new project of GDI63 in W company as an example, to study the problems and define the solutions such as establish the quality culture based on zero defect, strategy changing, key process restructure, etc. into project management. All of those solutions have been contributed to improve the quality of GDI63 project in W company. This thesis is giving reference for other companies about how to improving the quality in a R&D project as well.
