| Since the international financial crisis in 2008,world economy has stepped into an in-depth transitional period and it becomes more unbalanced and vulnerable.In the context of a deteriorating economy,enterprises are faced with increasing uncertainties as the market environment becomes extremely complicated,they are not only required to supply low-cost products,but also high-quality products and personalized services in order to enhance the overall competitiveness and efficiency in supply chain.To meet the rapid change of the market,and launch high-efficiency and high-quality products and services timely to offset the rising procurement cost according to the trend of the market and customer demand changes has become a valid method for OEM sourcing projects to continue their competitiveness.The key factors concerning product quality planning and other important issues are closely related to the cost,efficiency and brand of their projects.Therefore,how to control and manage OEM project and its quality in an effective way is very significant to multinational OEM enterprises.This paper analyzes the present situation of the W company’s OEM project quality management,to control its process through the analysis of the company’s existing organization structure and the quality in the OEM project management,to optimize W company’s OEM project development Process by comprehensively applying relevant theories of project management including the RACI responsibility matrix and the project source management system(Stage-Gate Process),to use APQP quality planning tool with FMEA potential failure mode to control product design and development Stage;Eventually,a set of project quality control process under the responsibility matrix has been formed.The implementation effect indicates that this project quality management process has achieved remarkable results in shortening project cycle,reducing the cost for the new product development project,improving project quality,enhancing the quality of the OEM supplier system in W company’s OEM/ODM project.Based on the theory of project management and with quality management tools and project work structure as the foundation,the author endeavors to sum up some OEM/ODM project operation experiences by cases study of W company and through the theoretical knowledge he learned from three years’ MBA courses and his personal experiences.In the end,it is hoped to shape a set of OEM/ODM project qualitymanagement process suitable for brand operators like W company.Through research,this paper aims to form a systemic and effective OEM/ODM project quality management,thus to cope with the market competition of the new period. |
