Electronic commerce, a new thing emerged with the rapid development of information and network in the 20th century, is a kind of brand-new business operation mode. Electronic commercial enterprise establishes a virtual network sale platform by which the transaction process has been largely simplified and costs of two sides have been dramatically reduced. Meanwhile, the platform has also improved the speed and accuracy of information interchange between enterprises and consumers, thus, bettered the both parties’ relationship. However, the development of logistics industry in China is very slow, which is particularly reflected in the high delivery cost, low efficiency, slow speed, single pattern as well as the low service quality far from meeting the consumers’needs, which have become the bottleneck restricting the development of electronic commerce directly. Consequently, establishing a high-level logistics delivering system with high efficiency and quality but low costs to ensure the smooth carrying out of electronic commerce has become the priority of China’s e-commerce enterprises. The selection of logistics mode should be considered firstly.On the basis of previous researches about electronic commence, this paper elaborates the research background, significance, research status at home and abroad, main research contents, methods and routes of the selected topic in Chapter One. Chapter Two introduces the theories of electronic commerce and logistics respectively. Chapter Three makes the qualitative analyzes of Suning’s business developments and the reasons why Suning chooses self-run logistics. Chapter Four analyzes Suning’s logistics problems in its earlier stage and the existing problems in its self-run logistics operation process.
