Study On The Influence Mechanism Of Enterprises’ Technology Search On Self-determined Innovation Capability

Enterprise innovative search is an effective way to obtain the required resources and promote the development of innovation. Technology search as a type of innovative search may help enterprise obtain technological support from all kinds of innovation source so that it can create a new combination of technology and knowledge, improve the innovation performance and promote the development of enterprise competence. Enterprises which have different search strategy will have different innovation performance, technological search mode selection is related to enterprise can achieve the innovation performance. Search technology cost a lot, and can construct a certain search path and learning mechanism, influence enterprise technological search path in the future. Therefore, enterprise should choose innovation strategy search pattern to fit innovation strategy in the process of innovation, which makes more particularly important to understand the effects of technological search strategy. However, search technology in the domestic research has just started, it has more confusion in the concept and dimension, Needing a suitable driven search theory to support innovation development strategy for the situation of China technology.The research purpose of this study is to understand the influence mechanism of technological search behavior on firms‘ self-determination innovation capability, provide theoretical guidances for C hinese enterprises to improve technology search effectiveness and thus enhance the self-determination innovation capability and innovation performance. First, based on detail review of the prior classification mode of the enterprise innovation search, this paper clarifies the concept and function of technology search, and puts forward a new four-dimension classification technology search mode by combining ―time-content‖ double bo rder referencing to the technology adoption life cycle model and epistemology. Second, this paper discriminates four technology search behavior and self-determination innovation capability through case study on the Huawei.company. Through system qualitative analysis, this paper puts forward a preliminary assumption proposition and theoretical framework.Fianally, this paper made a quantitative analysis based on 167 random samples from Chinese manufacturing enterprisesCombining with factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and variance analysis and other method, this paper has an empirical test on the conceptual model and research hypothesis. Research conclusions are as follows:(1) Search for advanced technology is positively related to the advanced and intermediate self-determination innovation capability, but it has no significant relationship with basic self-determination innovation capability.(2) Search for emerging science-based technology and experience-based technology is positively related to the advanced, intermediate and basic self-determination innovation capability.(3) Search for emerging science-based technology and experience-based technology at same time is more positively related to the advanced, intermediate and basic self-determination innovation capability than sesrch respectively.
