| At present,a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial revolution in the world are under way.Innovation has become a necessary condition for enterprises to survive and develop.Enterprises can no longer rely on s pecific technologies to dominate the market.At the same time,enterprises can not just rely on their own technology and knowledge accumulation to achieve high-quality innovation.As a means of acquiring technical knowledge both inside and outside the enterprise,searching technology can not only bring enterprises a great deal of technology and provide rich technical support for enterprise innovation.It can also bring diversified technologies to enterprises and guarantee high-quality innovation.Enterprise resources are limited.Facing various types of technology,it's important to rationalize the allocation of resources,to balance different types of technology search behavior,and then to maximize resources utilization.However,researches on technology search has not yet formed a complete system,and the mechanism of how technology search affects self-determined innovation capability is not clear.It can not provide theoretical support for enterprises to formulate reasonable technology search strategies and enhance their self-determined innovation capability.As the main body of national innovation,enterprises need to find effective ways to build and enhance the capability of selfdetermined innovation capability.This paper is about to explore and analyst this core issue.Based on the theory of independent innovation,open innovation,innovation search and knowledge management,centering on t he basic proposition of how technology search affects self-determined innovation capability,this dissertation explores the influence of advanced technology,emerging science-based technology search and emerging experience-based technology search,and mature technology search on t he independent innovation ability and the adjustment of environment dynamic.This study also explored the inverted "U" curve relationship between the four technical search behaviors and the self-determined innovation capability.What's more,there is in-depth analysis of advanced technology,emerging science-based technology search and emerging experience-based technology search,and mature technology search for the mechanism of self-determined innovation capability.Specifically,this study mainly includes the sections as follow:(1)Literature review and theoretical development: By reviewing and commenting on the theories of technology search,knowledge management and selfdetermined innovation capability,this paper listed the theoretical deficiencies among existing research and further defined these concepts.This paper also discussed the existing research,which discussed the relationship between technology search,knowledge creation process and self-determined innovation capability.(2)Exploratory Case Study: In this paper,six case enterprises were selected.14 propositions about the relationship between technology search,knowledge creation and self-determined innovation capability were derived from case studies.This provide the theoretical model which will be proposed later,a preliminary idea.(3)Theoretical model and empirical test on the relationship between technology search and self-determined innovation capability.Combining the 14 preliminary ideas proposed by exploratory cases and the existing research on technology search,this paper proposed the hypothesis model of how technology search affects self-determined innovation capability Based on the sample of 201 enterprise questionnaires,this study conducted empirical tests using the methods of confirmatory factor analysis,multiple regression analysis,analytic hierarchy process,nonlinear regression analysis and structural equation modeling.By this way,this study further clarified the influence of technology search on self-determined innovation capability,the adjustment of environment turbulence,the inverted "U" type relationship between technology search and self-determined innovation capability,and the intrinsic mechanism of technology search on self-determined innovation capability.Based on theory analysis,case analysis and empirical analysis above,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Enterprise advanced technology search behavior can promote advanced self-determined innovation capability and intermedia self-determined innovation capability.However,advanced search technology can not help unlimitedly improve advanced self-determined innovation capability.Excessive search of advanced technology can even have negative impact.(2)The emerging science-based technology search is conducive to improving their ability of advanced self-determined innovation capability,intermediate selfdetermined innovation capability and basic self-determined innovation capability.And this influence is indirectly produced through knowledge creation process.Specifically,emerging science-based technology searches affect their advanced / intermediate / basic self-determined innovation capability through positively affecting knowledge integration and knowledge creation.(3)Enterprise Emerging Experiences Technical search has a direct impact on intermediate self-determined innovation capability and basic self-determined innovation capability,as well as indirect influence through knowledge creation process.Specifically,the emerging experience-based technology search can significantly promote self-determined innovation capability and basic self-determined innovation capability.The emerging experience-based technology positively influences intermedia and basic self-determined innovation capability by positively affecting the knowledge creation and then by positively affecting knowledge fusion.(4)The relationship between advanced technology search and advanced selfdetermined innovation capability,intermedia self-determined innovation capability;the relationship between science-based emerging technology search and intermedia selfdetermined innovation capability,basic self-determined innovation capability;and the relationship between emerging experience-based technology search and intermedia self-determined innovation capability are adjusted by environmental dynamics.As the environment change more rapidly,the influence of advanced technology search on advanced self-determined innovation capability,intermedia self-determined innovation capability;the influence of science-based emerging technology search on intermedia self-determined innovation capability,basic self-determined innovation capability;and the influence of emerging experience-based technology search on intermedia selfdetermined innovation capability become weaker.The conclusions above deepen the understanding of the relationship between technology search and self-determined innovation capability,with some theoretical originality and methodological innovation:(1)From the perspective of technology search,this paper explores its role in enhancing the self-determined innovation capability,which further improve and develop the innovation theory.This dissertation also divides the capability of selfdetermined innovation capability into three different levels in the research,elaborates on the influence of different technology searches on the self-determined innovation capability at different levels,and explores the impact of environmental dynamics on the relationship above.(2)In this paper,theoretical and empirical tests are used to explore the inverted "U" type relationship between technology search and the three-level self-determined innovation capability of enterprises.This is a further development of the search equilibrium theory.(3)This research explores the mechanism of how technology search influence self-determined innovation capability through theoretical analysis,case study and empirical analysis.It opens up t he "black box" of technology search and selfdetermined innovation capability.It's the enrichment and perfection of Zhou(2016)'s study.(4)This article further differentiates the elements of knowledge creation process,points out that the process of knowledge creation consists of knowledge fusion and knowledge creation,and makes clear the concepts of knowledge fusion and knowledge creation,as well as their measurement scale,which provide some theoretical support for similar research in the future.This article also explores the impact of the two elements of knowledge creation process on t he self-determined innovation capability of enterprises at different levels,as well as the impact of knowledge fusion on knowledge creation,and further enriches and develops the theory of knowledge management. |
