Nowadays, with the development of the continuous innovation of science, technology and the competition of global market, the companies are faced with great challenges. In order to improve the enterprise management, establish the enterprise advantages, the managers pay more and more attention to the issue of purchasing management. Purchasing management has become a very important method to realize the flexible management and to deal more effectively with the market. It is a tough problem for every leader in enterprises that how to adapt well to the market’s change, raise the service level availably by lower production cost and, in the meantime, improve the product quality. Now the competition of market has already been much more than the simple competition between enterprises, but the competition between supply chains. As an important step of supply chain, purchasing management naturally becomes a major aspect in controlling the management of companies. Optimizing and integrating purchasing management of enterprises can lay a solid foundation for enterprises.This paper uses the basic ideas and methods of supply chain and purchasing management, combined with the specific problems of purchasing management of Y Company, to launch the study of the purchasing optimization. As many current enterprises still remains in the traditional management stage, transactional, passive purchasing activities of enterprises are not the most effective and cost-effective ways. So this paper combined with supply chain management concept, gives some strategic recommendations to Y Company. On the basis of existing researches of supply chain management, discuss the analysis and studies on the current status of purchasing management of Y Company. This paper takes Y Company as the research object, analyze the optimization question, combined with the actual problems of Y company’s purchasing management, such as delivery performance, inventory turnover and product qualification ratio.Restructuring and optimizing the purchasing processes from the perspective of supply chain, to maximum the economic benefits. Meanwhile, combines management together with JIT and ERP purchasing methods, it brings a series of innovation of purchasing management. The innovation includes, firstly, strengthening the training of purchasing management to improve the quality of the purchasing staff and purchasing management level. Secondly, manage the suppliers by a classified management mode. In this way, establish a long-term and as strategic cooperation with suppliers. Both parties can realize win-win aim. Thirdly, introduce ABC classifying management method into the stock management. Y Company manages the stock by classification according to different characteristics and influence of the productive materials and carries out major management and control following 20/80 principle. These three ways make the purchasing management more reasonable and scientific.Meanwhile, in order to smoothly bring the concept of supply chain into the daily work of purchasing management, and ensure the well going the purchasing management optimization in Y Company, Y Company should make some correction of the purchasing management system to improve the efficiency of purchasing. Strengthen the team construction of suppliers’evaluation. It is the major factor of the fair objective and scientific evaluation and maintains a good relationship with suppliers. And promote the construction of information to provide great supports for the optimization.
