The rural population accounts for nearly half parts in China in the year 2014. How to deal with the maters of farmers, countryside, and agriculture are the basis of China’s social stability and economic development. The core of the mater is to increase farmers’ income, to develop their living standard.In order to research the growth of farmers’ income, we must first understand the impact of direct and indirect factors of farmers’income growth. The problem can be solved if we know these factors clearly. This paper selects the statistics of the related factors from 1990 to 2014. Use SPSS to analysis data and research the factors of farmers’ income through theoretical and empirical method and give some constructive suggestions.This paper is divided into six parts.Part Ⅰ:Introduction. Mainly explains the background, significance. Literature reviews are theory source of the following parts. At the same time it introduces the research methods and main content and points out the potential innovation of this article and shortcomings.Part Ⅱ:Theoretical basis of the growth of farmers’ income. It is the theoretical basis of the whole thesis. It is based on the concept of farmers’ income and then illustrates Lewis’dual economic theory, the demand elasticity theory, Petty-Clark theorem and the theorem of Kuznets and other relevant theory.Part Ⅲ:The Evolution of the growth of farmers’ income and its characteristics and causes. This chapter uses data of year 1990 to 2014 analyzing the total income of the fanners, income structure, urban-rural gap, regional disparities on the basis of theoretical analysis. Secondly, study the features. Finally, summarize the reasons of the change of farmers’ income.Part Ⅳ:Analyze the factors of farmers’ income with normative analysis method. Firstly, this chapter analyzes various factors affecting farmers’ income through macro aspects. And then from the microscopic point study the impact of factors of family business income, wage income, property income and transfer income.Part V:An Empirical Analysis of Farmers’Income. Select nine related indicators, using SPSS with principal component analysis method to get the outcome. The outcome gives 5 greater important impacts through the final regression equation:the proportion of urban population, per capital spending on education in rural areas, rural individual fixed asset investment, and national financial expenditure on agriculture, forestry and water.Part VI:Suggestions on increase farmers’ income. This chapter gives some targeted measures proposed to increase the income of farmers, such as accelerating urbanization, the development of secondary and tertiary industries, strengthen rural primary education and skills training of farmers, improve the property system, improve the land requisition compensation system, strengthen agricultural finance, financial credit support to agriculture policy, strengthening agriculture related infrastructure based empirical analysis of factors. In short, increasing farmers’ income is a systematic projection; it should co-ordinate a wide range of power, and take manifold measures to effectively increase farmers’ income.
