Research On The Status Of Industry Cooperation Between Xinjiang And Kazakhstan

Economy of a region constituted by the industry in the region, regional economic development is the development of regional industry, only when the regional industry developed with coordination on the structure and quality, can the regional economy get real development. As Harvard University professor Michael Porter has remarked:"National strength is rooted in the performance of country’s industries and industrial clusters, competitive advantage of nations is also the overall performance of state industries development." Industrial cooperation between any two nation or region, specifically speaking, means cooperation among agriculture-based primary industry, industrial-based Second industries and service-oriented tertiary industry. And the author proposes that whether the industrial structure is optimized and the industrial comparative advantage is upgraded of both cooperation parties through industrial cooperation is the standard of measuring the successfulness of collaborations.This paper expanded by using both empirical research and normative research method. Mainly used abstract analysis, quantitative analysis and summarized the relevant literature and data in recent years to Speak with objective data and to combine Timeliness with reliability. The first chapter introduces the background of this writing, meaning, domestic and international research profiles, research methods and innovations. The second chapter defines the important concepts and describes related theories that support this study. The third chapter is the empirical analysis of the potential of cooperation between Xinjiang and Kazakhstan’s industry. This part analysis element intensive industries’ industrial international competitiveness classified according to the standard international trade classification (SITC) 1 digit classification categories of Xinjiang and Kazakhstan to grasp the overall situation on the both parties’ comparative advantage. Then also analysis overall exports industries’ industrial competitiveness, at the same time through empirical research on complementary of Xinjiang and Kazakhstan three industries structure and the internal constitution of it, to know three industrial complementarity condition.The fourth chapter summarizes the important results as well as the main problems achieved in recent years through industrial cooperation, and gives recommendations for optimizing existing problems based on the comparison with the empirical results.
