| With a long history in our country, dairy farming has been one of the main choices of farmers for breeding production. In recent years, with the increase in milk prices, dairy farming is becoming the one of the choice for many farmers to get rich. While currently, there are many problems existing in the cow breeding including the low-level breeding methods, frequent incidents of dairy safety, weak regulatory capacity of the raw milk quality and safety, less breeding profit because of rising costs, large quantities of dairy import reducing the sale of domestic milk powder, which are sustained affect the country’s dairy farming industry. Besides, in recent years, due to the high frequency of dairy quality and safety issues, the concern from the society for the production and marketing of milk is escalating. Except for the influence of the dairy company, different behaviors of farmers’ production definitely work the different effect on the family benefit and safety of dairy products.In this context, this paper focus on the dairy farming households production behaviors as the research direction, based on enough collection of the studies and theories on the farmers’ behavior and production behaviors at home and abroad, making use of the individual behavior theory, rational economic man hypothesis and incentive theory as the theoretical basis, conducted the field investigation of 150 dairy farmers in Meishan City. The field survey questionnaire is designed to the farmers’ production details including the basic situation of farmers and farmers producing capital cases, mainly for the production behavior of farmers involved in the production of household decision-making behavior, production and investment behavior, the technology adoption behavior and the factors influencing cows farmers produce behavioral.The results show that farmers’ age, family status and education level of labor these three internal factors that have a great impact on the production decisions; factors affecting farmers’ productive investment both from the farmers themselves, but also from the outside world. External factors including national policies, market-oriented, and last year’s investment credit policy effectiveness. Farmers own factors, including the farmer’s own labor force status, such as age, knowledge structure, accumulated experience, including households invested capital including existing capital and loan capital and other available; farmers own characteristics such as age, sex will be its acceptance of new technologies risk perception and understanding of impact, resulting in decisions affecting the use of new technologies. Conclusions of this study:(1) The farmers production behaviors exists simultaneously rational and irrational characteristics. (2) The farmers engaged in dairy farming households are overall older, level of education is not high, and the level of organization is not high, but the organization has been the trend toward large-scale development. (3) Cows subsidy policy and the insurance policy are ineffective. (4) Dairy farming households tend to choose investment and industry-related behavior of dairy farming. (5) For dairy farming, the disease occurs and milk yield is still a top priority matter of production.Based on the survey results, this paper put forward the following policy recommendations:(1) the local government should strengthen the technical training of farmers dairy farming. (2) The government and the related departments ought to encourage the establishment of cooperative organizations, encourage farmers to participate in a unified partner organization to improve the level of organization and the degree of anti-risk. (3) The government should enhance and improve cow subsidy standards, try to carry out the practical implementation of the insurance policy, do a really good job of disease prevention and control. (4) The government and the dairy company ought to strengthen drug regulation, provide vaccines subsidies and ensure price stability of the milk market. (5) The government needs to monitor dairy companies and dairy farmers’cooperative relations, to ensure breeding efficiency of dairy farmers. (6) the dairy farmers ought to guarantee the milk safety from the aspect of original production. |
