Study Of Economic Development And Portcity Relation Of Port-Cities Along Yangtze River In Central China

Under the background of economic globalization and regional integration, complicated changes happening in China’s port city. Port of highway construction, the rapid development of cities and the evolution of trade pattern has brought the restructuring of urban spatial structure.Modern port has evolved from a mere shipping dock goods distribution center and to a set of trade, information, logistics, and comprehensive functions of economic growth pole. As “the Yangtze river economic belt”strategy is put forward, and how to measure the port city of comprehensive development level and deal with the port city relationship has become in the port economic development urgently needs scientific problems are discussed.First of all, expounds the concept of port and port city, introduces the model of coupling coordination and relative concentration index mechanism, and build the central region along the Yangtze river port city comprehensive development level index system. Secondly, using the entropy method and comprehensive evaluation method to the port city’s comprehensive economic development levels of spatial differences in the evaluation and analysis. Again, using the improved relative concentration index model to determine central regions along the Yangtze river port citytype. Finally, using the coupling coordination degree model to the port city of port economic system and the coordination of relationship between urban economic system is evaluated and analyzed. The study found that:First, from the spatial differences, the overall economic level of the region and the development of the port city of imbalance, and a wide gap between them. Wuhan City, ranked first, scoring 1.93, second in Wuhu City score of 1.26, lower Huangshi City, Anqing City, Ma’anshan City,Chizhou and Tongling City, the total score, the average score of only 1.08.From the spatial distribution of high, medium and multi-level city that is located in the western region in Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi Province, the level of comprehensive development in Anhui Province in eastern port city of the economy as a whole is low, only a higher level of development in Wuhu City. From a timing point of view changes from 2005 to 2014, the level of comprehensive development of the port city economy is undoubtedly rising.Second, the spatial difference from the point of view, the coupling coordination degrees south of the Yangtze port city in 2014, higher than those coupling coordination degrees north shore of the port city, the coupling coordination degrees East port city of the western region is relatively high, Jiujiang City, the highest coupling coordination degree,0.98; Yueyang City, Ma’anshan City and Chizhou City couplingcoordination degrees higher, respectively, 0.94,0.95 and 0.93; coupling coordination degree Anqing City and Tongling City Average, 0.89 and0.91, respectively; Huangshi City, Wuhu City,Wuhan City,Jingzhou City,Yichang City and coupling coordination degree lower,respectively0.85,0.85,0.86,0.83 and 0.80.Timing analysis from the point of view, since2005 to 2014,the Port-city relation and the city economic system generally rests with severe disorders recession class or unorganized class into intermediate and advanced coordination coordination class.Third, in terms of the type of the port city of Anqing City, belonging to the ordinary city; Ma’anshan City are external ports; Chizhou City,Tongling City and Huangshi City belong to hub cities; Yueyang City belonging to the city’s port; Jingzhou City,Yichang City and Wuhu City port belongs city; Wuhan City belongs shipping; Jiujiang City belong gateway cities.Fourth, constraints analysis, the development of recommendations for the port city, where: Wuhan should intensify industrial restructuring,development of services. Yueyang City in supporting the work to do to meet the industrial transfer at the same time, improve the proportion of tertiary industry. Wuhu City Wanjiang should waterways as a carrier to accelerate port development. Yichang City should accelerate the construction of the Three Gorges hub. Jingzhou city should speed up the upgrading of the old port, refinement economic function and socialeffects. Jiujiang City should accelerate agro-industry and equipment manufacturing industry. Anqing City should speed up the upgrading of traditional pillar industries of textile, petrochemical, and other. Chizhou port production should be strengthened and further explore its distinctive cruise market. Tongling City should actively seeking to enhance the quality of port economy. Ma’anshan City should actively expand the shipping business, actively participate in the Shanghai International Shipping Center.
