In recent years, eco-tourism is one of the rapid development of tourism industry in the world, has now become the main economic source of Myanmar. Myanmar was once a mysterious country, now the country opened a mysterious veil. Myanmar currently is significantly faster growth in the tourism industry, and because a variety of unique travel experience where Myanmar, the trend may create jobs and contribute to economic growth. But with the development of tourism industry, tourism development as a result of economic, social and environmental impact is more and more attention. The community residents, as an important stakeholders in the tourism development, their participation is an important term in the process of a region tourism development, and then study of community residents’ cognitive on ecotourism development will help to implement the sustainable development of local ecological tourism. In first, to get understanding in the study area, through to the Shan state in Burma, the questionnaire survey to the Inle Lake, rely on the social exchange theory, stakeholder theory and sustainable development theory to explain the community ecological cognitive development situation, mainly SPSS version 17.0 was used for analyzing data in this paper, the results with frequencies, percentage, mean and standard deviation, for Inle Lake community awareness of ecological tourism development carried out research and exploration, and on the results for the overall analysis. Finally enhance the Inle lake community residents right cognition of ecological tourism development countermeasure, mainly local residents and coordinate the relationship between the development of eco-tourism, including (1) a rich community benefit channels, community residents to actively participate, (2) the establishment of fair compensatory mechanisms to avoid conflicts between community residents and investors (3) emphasis on perception and interests of residents, coordinating the development of tourism and noted that the conclusions of this study, further research limitations and future.
