The equipment of the LCD production line is very precise and expensive, running continuously. The stability of the equipment is of great significance for the quantity and quality of the products. The company is not so competent in equipment management because of the short time and shallow research in the LCD industry, so the equipment efficiency is not so high that which leads to great loss such as yield reduction and product defects. Therefore it is necessary to analysis the causes of equipment failures, assess the influence of the equipment efficiency. And establish the equipment management model according to the result to apply to practice for improving the efficiency of the equipment.This thesis studies on the twenty-four machines in the test position of the LCD production line. Investigate and collect the basic information of the equipment and the current situation of maintenance, fault and the shortcoming. Many factors including personnel, methods, environment, material and the device reduce productivity according to some records. The main research content of this thesis is to use the fishbone diagram method to establish a structured, organized diagram according to the correlation characteristics of each factor which will affect the efficiency of the equipment. It’s necessary to obtain factors influencing the equipment efficiency through brainstorming and the equipment fault data. When the fishbone diagram finished, the analytic hierarchy process is carried on the qualitative and quantitative analysis by decomposing the factors into objectives, standards and programs. Find out the main factors influencing the equipment efficiency, set up the new equipment management mode according to the analysis result. And Apply this mode to the actual equipment management, improve the efficiency of equipment.This thesis establishes a set of standardized management methods and models through the research on the factors influencing the equipment efficiency combined with the actual situation by fishbone diagram and AHP (analytic hierarchy process). This effective mode can reduce the equipment failure and the recovery time, improve the efficiency. The research results in this station have guiding significance for other equipment in the factory.
