Because of the dual economic structure in our country, rural people work in town or in the local township enterprises are restrained by the household registration system. Although this type of people live in the city for a long time,but their identity is still a farmer,they are called "migrant workers".Migrant workers as the leader force of the urban construction, have an tremendous large number, but live in the fringe of urban life and suffered unfair treatment everywhere, that causing a series of related social problems. With the increasing aging of the social population, the problem of how to provide for the aged migrant workers is widely concerned by the domestic scholars.Now the more and more diversified pension models lead more choices to people, but the new models of old-age pension, especially the social pension model,have some difficulties in progress in the countryside because of the impact of various factors.Migrant workers as a special status of farmers,their value views are not only influenced by the traditional pension models,but also by the city’s pension culture edification. Firstly, this paper probes into the current condition of the choice of pension models for migrant workers in China through empirical analysis.And it focuses on the research of different pension models how to have an influence on the migrant workers and the social.Then from the perspective of welfare economics and explores optimization of migrant workers’pension mode combination, through the contrast between theory and reality, to find out the differences and problems existing in the migrant workers’pension in our country at present, some conclusions and suggestions are put forward in the end.This paper primarily expounded from six parts. The first chapter is an introduction of this paper,come up with the research setting and relevant matters, reasons and significance,train of thought and research technique, framework and content,and the innovation and inadequate explanation; the second chapter is the literature review of this paper, integrate the inland and abroad literatures about the problem of migrant workers’ retirement and the performance of the aged, and evaluates these research results; the third chapter mainly introduces the pension problem and pension models of migrant workers, several migrant workers’pension models are divided into self pension, family pension and social pension model,and next to review them; the forth chapter on account of survey data gathered, get the statistics of the status of the China’s migrant workers pension models at present, and in contrast to the general farming statistics, then find out which independent variable factors have an influence on the choice of pension models for migrant workers,by use the logistic econometric model; the fifth chapter from the perspective of welfare economics, theoretically analyse the three pension models from three parties,including performance analysis of risk, individual welfare and social welfare, and then analysis of the optimization of migrant workers’pension mode combinations, and finally find out the gap between the theory and reality; chapter six is the conclusion part of the article, has some basic theory and puts forward some advices on how to establish the optimization of migrant workers’pension modes.In this paper, the research of migrant workers pension modes, not only can make a reference for the choice of migrant workers’pension, to figure out the matters of migrant workers pension, but also can improve the personal and social welfare levels, reach the Pareto optimality criteria.lt also has an important significance to promote the perfection of China’s migrant workers old-age security system establishment and migrant workers pension system.
