The global forest products trade pattern is currently undergoing a deep integration. Resourc e-based products trade is now severely inhibited, while the trade of processed products with hig h value-added is growing fast, especially the international trade for those intensely processed pr oducts. There are large amount of forest product export in China, but the actual profit we get from the international trade and the status we stands in the increasingly fierce competition are not clear yet. The import and export amount just explains the trade scales, and can’t reflect the companies’profit capability. In addition, processed trade is the main kind of our wood product export, which contains the input of imported elements. The traditional statistics may lead us to wrong the direction. This article calculated the value-added of China wood-processing industry product from 1995 to 2011 and its ratio using HYI value-added model, and then built multiple-variable regression model to estimate its related influence factors for further analyses. This stud y shows that the value-added of China wood-processing industry product and its ratio grew uns teadily from 1995 to 2011, and the increase of value-added is partly caused by the expansion o f export amount. Vertical Specialization Status (VSS) and Hours of high and middle labor (HH M) are positively affected to China wood-processing industry product value-added. It is suggeste d that the government should enhance international trade cooperation partnership to expand woo d forest product trade volume on the basis of rationalized the industry structure of wood forest product to improve our international vertical specialization. Meanwhile, the companies should en rich and verify the inputs to achieve high value fundamentally in each product, and finally enh ance their international competitiveness.
