The Study Aims To Protect The Interests Of Farmers In The New Urbanization Process

Human needs reflect interests in certain social relations and interests are the motivation of social activities and the driving force of social and historical development. Human historical development comes from interests confliction to benefit coordination. The ideology of protecting famer’s interests is enriched by Marx’s and Engels’ proposal of changing the fate of poor farmers living, improving the ideological and social status of farmers, protecting farmers’ land rights and ecological ideological interests, narrowing urban-rural gap, achieving joint development. For the present, sorting and understanding the thinking of Marx’s and Engels’ thoughts on the protection of farmers’ interests is extremely significant to the protection of famers’ interests and the achievement of joint development in the process of new-type urbanization.The interests of farmers consist of economic interests, political interests, cultural interests, social interests and ecological benefits. Based on the situation of famers’ interests lacking in certain fields during the process of urbanization, we propose ways to protect farms’ economical interests by confirming the famers’ ownership of lands, to protect their political interests by setting up famers’ organization, to protect their social interests through the reform of household registration system, to protect their cultural interests by stimulating their cultural needs, and to protect their ecological interests by developing the green agriculture.
