A Study On Starch Manufacturing Process Improvent At R Company Based On TRIZ Theory

The past few years have witnessed great improvements in food processing technology. At this point, domestic deep processing industry is facing the problems of overcapacity and exceeding real demand. Cutting costs, improving quality, adapting themselves to the "new economic status" is the top priority for those companies.Funded by its headquarter in F country, R Company is built in N city with an anticipated annual output of 400,000 tons of corn starch. These corn starches would be raw material for 350,000 tons of starch sugar and sugar alcohol,40,000 tons of denaturated starch. R Company has found that there is a conflict resolution in finding the solution for the process problem, the improvement of one problem will lead to the worsening of another problem. R Company need to use innovative thinking method to solve problem and eliminate waste.Applying TRIZ tools, this article provides a successful, innovating improvement for starch manufacturing process of R Company. A brief introduction about R company and problems rising in manufacturing process is covered in chapter 3. The 4th chapter analyzes the existing problems in the problem solving. In chapter 5, conflict resolution theory, substance field analysis theory and function analysis principle, which are all among TRIZ theories, are used to analyze existing problems concerning process management. The solution of specific problem has also been studied according to inventing principle 40. The 6th chapter designs the improved starch producing scheme and assesses its performance at R Company based on the research results of TRIZ and some process improvement tools, such as ECRS and visual management, etc.This article will supply the other starch producing companies with some valuable experience in the implementation of Gemba Kaizen.
