The reform of China’s electricity market system has become more and more deeply, and the survival and development of thermal power enterprises have become increasingly prominent. In order to improve the core competitiveness of enterprises, a lot of thermal power enterprises to create better performance through the implementation of performance appraisal. Enterprises in the implementation of performance appraisal, while the practice side of optimization, to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises to do a lot of work. This paper to optimize YHD thermal power company production and operation of performance appraisal system is the focus of the research, with the theories of performance management as the basis, combined with YHD thermal power company summed up the experience of performance appraisal, offer comprehensive use of site investigation, investigation method of the questionnaire, comprehensive and systematic collection and analysis the YHD thermal power companies in the performance evaluation of the original implementation of the difficulties existing in the process and put forward optimization suggestions for, and to put forward the optimization measures is carried out. The article thinks, YHD thermal power companies in the performance appraisal of main problems are:first, the indicators of performance appraisal is not system a complete set up, sparse in the original performance appraisal index, lack of scientific and reasonable standards. Two is too stressed that the performance evaluation of one of the links, and not the performance appraisal and performance planning, feedback and performance results of the application of organic combination. Three is the company’s attention to performance appraisal is not enough, performance in the performance appraisal of the support of resources is not enough. Four is the performance appraisal program has not done with the times, with the combination of modern information technology, resulting in poor performance of the program. In view of these outstanding problems in the performance evaluation of YHD thermal power company, this paper puts forward the optimization and improvement from the following aspects. First, to establish a system of performance evaluation indicators, including the company level, department level and staff level is the three level of performance appraisal indicators. The two is to optimize the performance management process, performance appraisal should be combined with other links. Three is to improve the performance appraisal of the safeguard measures, so that enterprises can continue to improve the performance of health performance assessment, the real play a positive role in performance appraisal.
