With the arrival of global economic integration, increasingly intense competition of the market, personalized and complicate consumer demand, and the rapid development of science and technology represented by information technology and modern transportation technology, global manufacturing environment is undergoing a profound revolution, manufacturing enterprises to carry out the change of service become a strategic choice to face the commercialized trap and sustainable development. In essence, manufacturing servitization is a process of business model innovation, due to the interference of internal and external risk factors in the complex process, different manufacture enterprise will come up with the different business model innovation level, the final economic impact also shows diversity. Therefore, to discuss and clarify how to depict the difference and its influencing factors and mechanism, becomes an important foundation to promote the further development of manufacturing value-chain theory, are more conducive to further explain and guide the complicated manufacturing enterprises servitization, too.This article is considering the manufacture enterprises servitization from the perspective of business model, it is looking the ways to identify the essence of the manufacturing enterprise servitization as the comprehensive business model innovation process of service, not only to provide a new service project. This article is based on the classification of the service provided by the local and foreign manufacturers, and combines the characteristics of the actual Chinese manufacturing enterprises, from two ways:service supporting the product (SSP) and service supporting the clients’ actions (SSC), it is measure the extent of the business model innovation in service, and identify the four main influence factors of the internal and external enterprise, including enterprise R&D input level, education level of the employee, industry competition and resource constraints rate. At the same time takes 163 manufacturing companies achieved the Chinese GEM IPO between 2009 and 2012 as samples, using SPSS22.0 software to do the Logit regression analysis between manufacturing enterprise business model innovation and its influence factors, as well as to explain the correlation between enterprise internal and external influence factors and the business model innovation more comprehensively and deeply.Analysis results show that the control variable of enterprise scale and industry does not have a significant impact on business model innovation in service level. The higher R&D intensity companies more tend to offer the SSP, and less tend to offer the SSC; Education level of the employee have a significant positive impact on business model innovation in service level. The increasing of industry competition tends companies to adopt the strategy of SSC, the degree of competition in the industry, the enterprise provides the SSP has not obviously increased; Increasing degree of resource constraints, the enterprise more inclined to provide the SSP and SSC. In my paper, I contemplate the conclusion from empirical analysis by using the sample data of Chinese manufacturing enterprises, not only enhance the confidence of service-oriented business model innovation of Chinese manufacturing enterprises, but also provide guidance for their innovative practices.
