Climate problem has aroused wide attention in the world. It has a significant impact on the global environment and ecosystems. As the largest developing country in the world, China is facing the dual pressures from both the international and domestic environments. Carbon dioxide, mainly from the burning of fossil fuels, is key component of greenhouse gases,which is the culprit causing frequent extreme weather disasters. At present, China’s energy consumption structure is still dominated by fossil energy which consumption accounts for about 90% of total energy consumption. This has led to a large amount and a rapid growth of carbon dioxide emissions in China. China surpassed the United States to become the world’s largest emitter of carbon dioxide in 2009. On the eve of the Copenhagen climate change conference, China made a commitment that China will reduce carbon emission intensity by 40%-45% compared to 2005 until 2020. It also shows that China’s economic development in the next ten years will in a low carbon development model.Logistics activities always play an important role in the process of production and operation of enterprises. The internal logistics activities in the enterprises consume a large amount of fossil energy and emit a lot of carbon dioxide. Therefore, the low carbonization of enterprise logistics has become an important part of the national economy to achieve energy saving and emission reduction targets. The combination of low carbon logistics and the reality of the enterprise has become a vital problem to be studied. Facility layout planning can effectively improve the logistics efficiency, equipment utilization, safety production and production balance. It can also implement the energy saving and emission reduction ideas at the begaining of the system planning phase.This paper, combineing the low carbon logistics and improved system layout planning method, established the improved SLP model, considering the low carbon logistics under. It also used this model to study the medium speed mill processing and assembly workshop of Enterprise B. We got the improved facility layout plan of the workshop by improved SLP, and Dynamics Enterprise software was used to simulate and evaluate the simulation with low carbon logistics as an important indicator. Finally, we got the optimization scheme that could improve the logistics efficiency as well as reduce the amount of carbon emissions in the process of logistics.There are two innovative points in this paper:The first, the low carbon logistics is combined with improved SLP method; the second, Dynamics Enterprise software is used to carry out the simulation of the facility layout.
