The assay focuses on researching the facility layout in manufacturing logistics system. Reasonable facility layout can save material transporting cost, shorten production period, and fasten current fund turnover, which is good for the enterprises to reap economic benefits and broaden the "Living Space". Thus, research on improving and optimizing the manufacturing logistics system is meaningful and with bright prosperity. Through researching on the principles of manufacturing logistics and facility layout, this assay simulates the manufacturing falsity layout of a bridge bearing enterprise by EM-PLANT, counts and analyzes main performance parameters, and selects a more scientific and reasonable manufacturing facility layout proposal. Main tasks of this assay are as follows:1,Research on related principles and analyzing method of manufacturing logistics and facility layout, especially on system distributing design method (SLP). Referring to practical cases of a bridge bearing enterprise, this assay analyzes the manufacturing logistics system, seeks out the questions in manufacturing logistics system, and draws out several feasible optimized proposals for facility layout.2,Research on logistic system modeling and simulation method, model andsimulate the manufacturing facility system of a bridge bearing manufacturerthrough Simulation Software EM_PLANT. After modeling, count andanalyze its main performance parameters.3,Trough simulating and comparing the manufacturing facility layoutapplication, select a more reasonable facility layout proposal.This assay establishes the computer simulating models for original manufacturing facility layout and optimized layout to simulate its operation status and regulations per time-change and record the performance parameters, such as average manufacturing period, total logistics, assembling line utilization, guided vehicle utilization, WIP, etc. Then, by counting and analyzing, this assay evaluates the out-standings and short-comings of different layouts completely, to choose a reasonable layout proposal and forward an effective and intuitions-tic solution for optimizing manufacturing facility layout, which can greatly shorten the time and cut the cost. Thus, this assay is principally and practically important to new-construction and re-constructing manufacturing facilities for manufacturer.
