The power supply enterprise whose basic duty is to carry electric energy from power station to each power consuming unit is the most important component of power system. As a result, the safety production of power supply enterprise is not only directly related to production efficiency and market competitiveness of enterprise itself, but also a national development problem which affects production and living of modern society. The safety production management of power supply enterprise in our country has achieved some success in the last few decades, however, the safety management is generally extensive, the safety production consciousness is really weak, and the theory and practical ability is relatively backward.The PDCA cycle is the most important component of Deming quality management system, which produces a profound influence on quality management all over the world. It has been an important tool which can play an effective role in any management activity. In the cycling time after time, the management level can be developed constantly, and the work can be improved incessantly. Such a work flow really fit with the actual demand of enterprise safety production management, as a result, the PDCA cycle is feasible in power supply enterprise safety production management.In this paper, we start from the safety production management actuality of domestic and international enterprises in three ways:safety production management system and model, safety risk management, safety production performance. Then we introduce the research work in this paper—research of safe production management in power supply enterprises based on the PDCA method, and analyze difficult and innovation points in our research. The relevant theoretical contents and methods of safety production management are stated, especially the substance and implement processes of PDCA method. Based on these theoretical knowledge, we analyze the feasibility of applying PDCA in power supply enterprise safety production management. Then, problems existing in safety production management of power supply enterprise are summarized, and the improving scheme is made based on PDCA work guidance. The improving scheme is used in T power supply company, and the practice situations are expounded from two aspects:the general practice case of safety production management in T company, and the working spot safety production management case of the 2# major transformer changing in 200kV Kangning transformer substation. At last, the safety production management evaluation indicators system is established, and the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process is used to evaluate the safety production management improve action. The assessment results present that the improved safety production management reached the "higher" level.
