Since 2002, the Chinese government put forward the strategy of reinvigorating China through human resource development. China’s returnees venturing is going to the golden period of development, and a lot of returnees are returning home to start a business. With the rising trend of the returnees’ venturing, Chinese high-tech enterprises are growing faster, and Chinese economic construction is full of vitality. However, not all returnees entrepreneurial enterprises can survive. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the returnees entrepreneurial mechanism, so as to ensure the existing and potential returnees venturing.This study utilizes knowledge map and information visualization method to conclude that the returnee ’ s entrepreneurship has become a research trend. Based on the resource theory and the born global theory, the study inducts that human capital and social capital have domestic and overseas dimensions, which affect the returnee’s entrepreneurial performance.Through cross-level empirical analysis and in-depth cross-case analysis, the study examines the influence of domestic and overseas human capital and social capital on the returnee’s entrepreneurial performance, and based on entrepreneurial opportunity theory and entrepreneurial environment theory, the study explores the relationship among opportunity identification, China environment and entrepreneurial performance.The result shows that: 1) overseas human capital, domestic and overseas social capital have an positive impact on entrepreneurial performance; 2) opportunity identification plays a fully intermediary role among overseas human capital, domestic and overseas social capital and entrepreneurial performance; 3) the more perfect entrepreneurial environment, the more significant relationship among domestic human capital, domestic social capital and entrepreneurial performance. Thus, the study contributes to entrepreneurship theory and practice.
