The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have focused on the national work since its establishment. For ethnic minorities.the land reform movement is not only an economic and social reform movement, but also a piece of important national work. To restore the true nature of this period of history, from the macroscopic aspect we need to discuss the formulation and implementation of land reform policy, and also from the microscopic angle we need to observe rural people’s thoughts, feelings and behavior. In terms of the present study, because of some special factors such as humanity and geography, it occurs that hardly nobody, standing in minorities’ shoes, oberserve the frontier minorities’ thoughts, feelings and behavior about the land reform from the micro perspective. This thesis, investigating the villages on both sides of the Caozi river in Yi nationality autonomous county of E-moutain,Yunnan province, based on their oral history about the land reform, studies the minorities’ political identification in the process of the reform from Nasupo Yi region land reform parties’ perspective.Through on-the-spot investigation and interview, combining local archives’ literature,it can be found that the villages are relatively peaceful and the mobilization is small during the land reform. In addition to the hardwork of work teams, there is a significant factor that a series of measures the CCP takes are what the local people want, contributing to achieving political identification. Therefore, this article, attempting to take the timeline of liberating Caozi river, removing bandits and opposing hegemonism, and taking land reform, studies the influence of bandits’ removal and hegemonism’ opposition in land reform, and then explores the relationship between the minorities’ popular feelings and political identity.
